About Jennifer Perry

As a forensic accountant with over 25 years of experience, I am recognized for my ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a broad range of forensic services, often in an expert capacity. I have led and executed numerous high-stakes engagements including financial and other corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, fraud and related risk consulting, quantification of losses in financial disputes, and litigation support, including eDiscovery. My investigative casework includes investigation of alleged fraudulent financial reporting, securities and related fraud matters, Ponzi schemes, misappropriation of funds, procurement fraud and related risk consulting, whistleblower complaints, cyber security incidents, workplace misconduct investigations, fraud risk assessments, reputational due diligence, income tax disputes, and planning and execution of Anton Piller and other Court Orders, comprising search and seizure of material defined within the Orders for evidentiary purposes. My experience in dispute services and litigation support includes post-transaction purchase price disputes, franchise disputes, loss quantification in breach of contract and tort, class actions, construction delay claims, insurance claims, quantifying economic damages and accounting for profits in intellectual property disputes, and managing eDiscovery services. I advise on case strategy and scoping, research and investigative techniques, identification and preservation of evidence, interviews, approach to quantification and financial analysis, and asset tracing and recovery. I have prepared numerous expert reports and affidavits and have provided testimony as an expert witness in forensic accounting in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. A former instructor in investigative-related matters and a former lecturer in monetary remedies in intellectual property disputes for the University of Toronto Diploma in Investigative and Forensic Accounting program, I am also an author and speaker on topics of ethics, fraud investigation, forensic accounting, and monetary remedies in intellectual property disputes. I'm a Chartered Professional Accountant ("CPA"), Chartered Business Valuator ("CBV"), Certified Fraud Examiner ("CFE"), and Certified in Financial Forensics ("CFF") by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
