I love helping and encouraging others. I have an optimistic enthusiasm for life and challenges I encounter. I actively participate in my church and serve as a 1st grade teacher and coordinate the ushers each week. I also participate regularly with my church in community outreach opportunities involving distribution of food to needy and activities for elderly and underprivileged. I am seeking a position in health, education, or medicine. I most recently worked in a team teaching environment and collaborated regularly to maximize the growth and potential of our students. Prior to returning to the classroom, I served as a Podiatric Medical Assistant. I was responsible for all aspects of patient care and rear office activities. I loved my job there and had the privilege of working with some wonderful patients. This experience was a great opportunity for me to help people and make a positive impact on a daily basis. My foundation is in education and I have taught grades in both public and military settings. I have 10 years of classroom experience and my Tennessee certification is Elementary K-8. Having been affiliated with the military required me to move every few years and has helped me to become incredibly adaptable to most any situation. My strengths revolve around my ability to connect with people and foster positive relationships with students, faculty and parents. I planned, taught and adapted lessons to maximize academic growth and potential for each individual in a very high-energy, hands-on classroom environment. Other positions have included Accounting Assistant for GKN Aerospace Engineering, Lead Generator for American Home Design, Account Biller/Customer Service for Central Freight Lines, and Retail Associate for Kohl's Department Store. My varied experiences and adaptability have created a skill set that makes me both very resourceful and talented. My excellent written and verbal communication skills have benefitted me in all my endeavors.
