I’m a helper with penchant for positivity seeking a role in community management, outreach or coordination. At ease while engaging diverse groups, encouraging collaboration and thinking critically to solve problems. My goal is to make direct impacts, adding tangible value to an organization that seeks an enthusiastic teammate and natural leader. Currently a Community Manager specializing in member engagement and project management for a non-profit that supports immigrant professionals with career resources. My skills in relationship building, multi-tasking and coordinating are the bridge between my target role and my previous career in education. As a whole-school music teacher, I developed an ability to be successful amidst chaos with flexibility, innovation and empathy. I built a reputation for improving school culture and creating inclusive, enriching experiences for my students. This year, I transitioned into a new career and within six months, my team has met or exceeded our benchmarks for member numbers and engagement. I perform outreach and community marketing daily, as well as coordinate and host events regularly. Other responsibilities include cross-collaborating with other teams and acting as a liaison to volunteers. As a teammate, my soft skills shine: thoughtful communication, navigating challenges, and maintaining focus on common goals. My hard skills include live and virtual event planning and coordination, community marketing, outreach, scheduling, writing, content creation, and speaking to an audience. Skilled or proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack, Asana, Canva, and Zoom. I hold certificates in project management, health and wellness coaching, and a teaching license in music education. I previously had several years of Spanish language training and occupational experience. While my current proficiency level is low, I have a strong foundation to rebuild fluency with regular use.
