About Jennifer Thompson

I have 20+ years of experience in analyzing the needs of clients in the Automotive industry determining/developing innovative solutions to meet those needs, while remaining laser focused on the goals and objectives of my clients. I specialize in defining solutions for the automotive manufacturing, distribution and dealer vertical across Commercial and Enterprise markets and then stay involved to see it come to life! Concentrating on the Dealers, I worked within the dealer management system (DMS) field since beginning with Vantage, transitioning to PBS, and then on to DealerVu, until 2015. After that I helped Arcane, a digital marketing technology company, scale from 20 employees with 1 location to 100+ with 4 locations. Next up, I joined Autodata, back in Automotive, working with all major OEMs, before heading off to Traction on Demand, which was acquired by Salesforce in 2022. Prior to entering the Dealer space, I had graduated from Accounting and ran my own business helping others to set up sole proprietorships. Everywhere I went people needed help designing databases to support and report on operations and financials. I went back to school and graduated as a Computer Programmer Analyst and combined the two skills: accounting and programming. Hence, started my journey of developing solutions for interesting challenges. It takes good listening skills, asking lots of questions, having a positive, inclusive feedback loop, and a lot of creativity to deliver a solution that has maximum potential. I thrive on creating successful outcomes. I am a runner. It’s a “don’t quit even when you’re exhausted, it’s raining, it’s snowing, it’s a billion degrees and you're melting” kind of sport. There is always more to learn and new skills to practice. It has taught me more about myself, others and the world than anything else I’ve ever done. I volunteer within the running community to share my passion so that others can feel the empowerment that it brings This passion IS who I am. I live it every day with everything I do.
