About Jennifer Webre

I've dedicated my career as an attorney to serving my community, working at LSC organizations since 2014. I've expanded my organization's capacity by managing funding obtained from local, state or federal sources and reaching or exceeding projected deliverables. Over the past 7 years at SLLS, I’ve helped grow my unit from 4 attorneys & 1 support staff when I started to its current size of 10 attorneys & 4 support staff, in the New Orleans & Baton Rouge areas. My unit takes referrals from organizations serving vulnerable populations of people, such as veterans & people who are not housed. We operate medical-legal partnerships with local clinics and hospitals to deliver legal services to patients directly, on-site or by referral. We help people with various legal issues including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, VA & SNAP benefits; housing issues; consumer debts, criminal records expungements, & any other legal issue that might create a legal barrier to health, housing, or economic stability for our clients. Prior to my current position, I worked as a staff attorney at SLLS, representing people who are not housed and veterans in benefits cases. Prior to SLLS, I represented clients in family law cases at ALSC, in 13 parishes throughout the Acadiana & Southwest regions of Louisiana. I'm a proud owner of a terrier mix named Alfredo who has earned his Canine Good Citizen certification. We play dog sports! Agility, Scentwork, & Barnhunt. We love to hike & often visit state or national parks when vacationing.
