About Jennipher Gee

My mom likes to tell me that as a child, every teacher wrote on my report card, “Jennipher is the best helper.” Need your shoelaces tied – let me help! Need a shoulder to cry on – tell me more. My parents were so proud and encouraged me to follow my heart and help others around me, however, they drew the line when I began to bring home wounded frogs in my pockets! Helping people is a part of who I am. Throughout my life I have developed the art of being able to connect with anyone at any given time and discover what they needed help with. From being a Peer Helper in high school, to working with vulnerable populations, or sitting on a several Boards as an adult – these opportunities have allowed me to utilize these skills in a wide variety of ways. Whether it is through mentoring, coaching, teaching, or lending a compassionate ear. My ability to listen, to empathize, and most importantly, treat people with dignity and worth; whether they are the CEO or the custodian, has made me approachable. My employment, volunteer and academic journey have led me to this place in life. I have developed a passion for not only being the voice of those that cannot advocate for themselves, but also teaching people to advocate effectively and prioritize their own health and well-being.
