About Jenny Abrams

After working in healthcare community education/outreach and owning a professional organizing company, I switched careers to focus on what I enjoy doing most which includes marketing, communications, strategic planning, and project management. I am thrilled to now to be working at Vanderbilt University as a project manager in Peabody College supporting the Marketing Communications Team and Peabody Research Office. What is the underlining theme of all of my experiences and skills? It's my core value of helping to build connections between people. Personally, I pride myself on my listening, communication, team building skills. Meeting new people and finding all about what makes them tick give me life! Professionally, I am passionate about breaking down a project into achievable and actionable "chunks" while also creating streamlined and efficient protocols and procedures to get the job done! My CliftonStrengths describe me perfectly: woo, maximizer, communication, harmony, and discipline. I've been nominated for several awards through my local business association including: rookie business of the year, volunteer of the year, leader of the year, and woman of the year. I've served on numerous boards, engaged in an international public speaking opportunity, self published a book that is available on Amazon, and I have volunteered for numerous organizations. I'm proud to announce that starting in July 2023, I became an elected member of the Vanderbilt University Staff Advisory Council, and now serve as the Communications Co-Chair. In May 2024, I graduated from the Vanderbilt Leadership Enrichment program, an intensive eight month program to expand, develop, and grow my leadership skills and competencies.
