About Jenny Bailie

I have always been a very creative soul with a particular passion for music and art. After leaving University, where I studied Media studies with English literature. I decided that I wanted to experience and see the world. So, my now husband and I embarked on a journey of a lifetime to Thailand and Australia where we spend a year working in various roles and travelling around the country. It was an incredibly adventurous and eye-opening experience that will stay with me forever. On my return, I landed a job with Clarins as an account manager in a maternity leave role. I gained valuable skills, such as working towards and achieving high targets, sales techniques, how build a rapport with all of our valued customers, managing accounts and all the while getting to do make-up and work with luxurious skincare. I loved this job so much that I went on to work for Clarins for many more years as a skincare specialist. It was after my two beautiful daughters were born that I knew it was time for a change. I found the balance between work and family life a bit of a challenge, financially and emotionally. It was then, after years of encouragement from loved ones, I decided to start a business teaching music to children. Being able to have flexible hours has been a game changer as a mum and pursuing my passion for music has been incredibly rewarding. As my children are growing so too is my free time with my youngest now in school, so when an opportunity came to work part-time with the incredible and talented team at Whytematter I excitedly jumped at the chance! I fell in love with their ethos as a company and find Mairead and everyone in the team incredibly inspiring, professional young women. To quote their mantra “young mothers and working professionals, striking the tough balance between personal life and career, there is no one better able to help you get the best from staff, or find the right next move for you.” Need I say more. I cannot wait to start my journey at Whytematter and am so excited to see what the future holds!
