Experienced social work educator, researcher, and policy analyst engaging in policy and research related to issues of human rights, social and economic justice. Co-Principal Investigator of 2 Campus Climate Surveys, where I conducted a survey of faculty, administrators, and staff, completed qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and presented written report & recommendations for improving the climate to university administration My research: Explores the needs of older LGBTQIA+ adults, sharing data with the which resulted in 2020 signing of a Bill of Rights for LGBTQIA+ and HIV+ adults in long term care settings. I created and delivered a cultural competence training to hospital systems and long term care facilities. Community work: Vice President of the Board of Directors of the South Jersey AIDS Alliance, where I advocate for harm reduction services for those using injection drugs; review and approve quarterly budget and CEO reports. Social work program service: Academic and Professional Standing Committee: Reviewed concerns about academic honesty & professional behavior Accreditation: Curriculum mapping, report writing, syllabus updates and revisions Admissions: Review MSW applicant packets and made recommendations for admission Curriculum Committee: Review proposed changes to existing syllabi, review proposals for new courses Faculty Searches: Search chair for tenure track lines in MSW program Personnel Review Committee: Reviewed materials submitted- voted for or against tenure and promotion I have an unwavering belief in communities and people to reach their goals and that health equity is a human right that can and must be achieved!
