About Jenny Ho

By day (and often well into the night), I’m the Head of School at Washington Square Academy. By necessity, I’m also the teacher, janitor, cook, and most recently, the school van driver. And yes—it’s true: I work my second job to help pay for the students who are not able to pay tuition. If there’s a hat to wear, chances are I’ve already worn it. But what makes all of this feasible is passion. My drive is to be a catalyst for change, helping students—especially immigrant students and those from underserved communities—realize that the world is far bigger than the limits they’ve been shown. I believe the real opportunities in life appear at the intersection of kindness, understanding, and hard work, where people from opposite sides of the socioeconomic spectrum can meet and thrive together. So yes, I sweep the floors, stir the soup, drive the van, and juggle a second job—but every role is in service of something much bigger: building a space where overlooked talent can grow into tomorrow’s leaders.
