A highly experienced senior manager with a wealth of knowledge and experience up to board level; a career spanning the Acute, Community, Mental Health, Regulatory, Commissioning and Primary Care Sectors of the NHS. I'm accomplished in a broad range of financial areas such as Financial planning, financial management, financial accounting, business case financials and costing & pricing. However, I wouldn't consider myself a standard accountant and have a broader range of skills and experience outside of finance, including business development, transformation, fitness for purpose reviews, escalated assurance, leading projects, undertaking and co-ordinating major business case reviews, contracting & contract negotiation, working with business intelligence and workforce colleagues to triangulate plans or deliver new national requirements, policy interpretation and implementation and performance management, I love collaborating within and across organisations and enjoy leading on or supporting new challenges, projects, business cases and organisational change; with experience spanning ICS development, Primary care network (PCN) development, establishing new entities and related financial and organisational governance, fitness for purpose assessments, merging of finance departments, development of new payment and outcome measures, strategic finance lead for procurement and implementation of new EPR and working with clinical leads and commissioners to deliver service redesign. A Chartered Accountant (CIMA), holding a Masters in Healthcare Finance, a Higher diploma in Healthcare Business & Finance, the Mary Seacole certificate in healthcare Leadership, PRINCE2 Foundation level and Better business cases Foundation and Practitioner with associated masterclass training.
