About Jenny Scanlin

I have spent three decades working in the public sector at both the political and programmatic level, affecting positive change in the communities I served. At the City of Los Angeles’ Economic and Workforce Development Department and its Community Redevelopment Agency my work was focused on analyzing and developing solutions to issues of housing and economic deficiencies in low-income, blighted neighborhoods. During my tenure at these agencies I developed a number of new programs, managed complicated real estate and development transactions, conceived and invested in award-winning projects and created strong stakeholder and strategic relationships to further the City's development goals. Employing my experience in both real estate and community development, I am currently working for the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles as the Chief Strategic Development Officer. An amazing opportunity to break new ground in addressing affordable housing and issues of homelessness, poverty, quality of life and sustainability. I am inspired to innovate, evolve and make positive impacts and appreciate hearing new ideas and collectively problem-solving.
