About Jens Tuider

Trained as a philosopher with a talent for big-picture solutionary thinking, Jens works as an experienced strategist, consultant, speaker, and author with a passion for changemaking for a better world. Jens has been voted one of the Top-30 Changemaker in Food Systems and Planetary Health in Germany; he is also part of the first Protein Roundtable series at the German Bundestag. He is now Director Germany at Tilt Collective - a global regranting organisation working to create a sustainable, healthy and efficient food system for all. Tilt supports organisations, institutions and projects driving food systems diversification towards more plant-rich diets and alternative proteins. Jens consults decision makers from politics, business, the third sector, and the media on the potentials of protein diversification, including plant-based, fermentation-derived and cell-cultivated alternatives, to create more choice for consumers, broader portfolios for producers and additional business models for farmers. Jens considers protein diversification a multi-problem solution - for the environment, the climate, human health, food security, and animal welfare; and a multi-benefit opportunity - for sustainable growth, innovation leadership and future-proof jobs. Jens has extensive experience in non-profit management and leadership, where his approach is informed by pragmatism, collaboration and the principles of effective altruism. He has delivered keynotes and speeches around the globe, and his writings have been published, among others, by The Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für Politische Bildung), Germany's top public authority providing citizenship education and information on political issues. A committed changemaker, Jens has a passion for understanding human nature and behaviour to identify solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time.
