About Jeny Varughese

I am currently an Administrative Coordinator for the division of Mission, Ministry and DEI and Belonging at Cabrini University. In this role I supervise student workers, maintain budgets, coordinate programming among other responsibilities. I earned my MBA from Widener University. Also, I am a graduate of Cabrini University in Radnor, PA where I received my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication. A highly motivated individual, I am dedicated and passionate about my work and am a quick learner. I have worked in multiple areas of media and am highly proficient in multimedia. At Cabrini I worked on LOQation, the student run video news program. I was the graphics coordinator for the show, before that I held the position of script writer. In addition, I was also a reporter and videographer for the show. I am also capable of writing in AP Style format. I was part of the award winning college newspaper “The Loquitur” where I was a staff writer and then got promoted to Arts & Entertainment editor where I managed a staff of six writers. I also gained skills on layout and design. I have also held several leadership roles while at Cabrini, including being President of the American Advertising Federation chapter at Cabrini, Vice President of the International club and Treasurer of the Society for Collegiate Journalists chapter. Recently I completed an internship at NBC10 WCAU-TV with The 10! Show where I was the web and audience intern. I was an integral part of the production team at NBC10 to make sure the show runs smoothly. I gained valuable skills to work in a fast paced television setting as well as technical and interpersonal skills. I familiarized myself with the Dalet plus program and trained other interns to log audience information using Dalet in the 10! show holds. I am capable of communicating messages through print, video, photography and social media. I would like to pursue a career in broadcast journalism or film/tv production.
