About Jeoffrey Mendonca

I am working as the Deputy Phase Head - Secondary at Dubai Scholars Pvt School. Prior to this role, I worked as the Key Stage 3 Leader (2022-23), the Teaching & Learning Coach (2021-22), Faculty Head Primary - English (2018-2021) and Subject Teacher of English in the Secondary School (since 2008) in the same school. I have 23 years of teaching experience in 3 different curricula which includes over 10 years of various leadership roles. Throughout my extensive career to date, I have gained many skills that I believe will successfully add to the growing and developing schools. Having lead (Key Stage 2 English in DS) and taught across all Year Groups from Primary to Year 11, I have been instrumental in creating successful, welcoming and inclusive learning environment that pursue the objectives and implement the policies set out by the school and the education authority. I am dynamic in maintaining the highest standards of Teaching and Learning and I consider myself to be at the forefront of contemporary educational practice. I am someone who can easily engage with students, teachers, parents and community leaders alike in a manner that is open and inclusive. I am an exceptional leader with a proven track record of raising standards. Under my leadership and management, the Key Stages I have lead have always been judged as ‘Very Good’. I am very keen to make a real difference in Teaching and Learning in any Key Stage and I am committed to safeguarding their welfare and expect all my team to share this commitment. I have a strong desire to help young people progress with their academic, personal, and social needs coupled with a friendly yet professional approach. I look forward to building a successful relationship with all members of the school community and experience the rich and diverse culture in the educational field.
