About Jeramiah Wisdom

As a former firefighter with over nine years of experience in emergency response, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation, I am passionate about promoting safety culture and best practices in every organization I work with. Currently, I am a safety specialist at Bettis construction, one of the largest construction companies in Kansas, where I oversee the safety policies and procedures, safety compliance, and foster a proactive safety mindset among our employees. My safety expertise is backed by multiple certifications, including, OSHA 30, MSHA part 46, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, and IS 139 from FEMA. I also have extensive experience in safety training, having taught CPR, Incipient Fire, and other life-saving skills to hundreds of employees and colleagues. Additionally, I have demonstrated leadership and project management skills, having served as a crew chief, a driver operator, and a steward of the Fort Riley Map program, which involved updating and optimizing the fire safety maps for the military base. Throughout my career, I have been recognized and awarded for my exceptional safety performance and professionalism, including being named the Firefighter of the Year in 2019. My mission is to apply my knowledge, skills, and experience to create a safer and more productive work environment for everyone.
