Background
About Jered Cramblett
My supply chain management / logistics career began after I finished my degree and became a federal technician for the Army National Guard. Through my hard work and knowledge, my peers urged me to become an active-duty member of the Army National Guard based on their observations of seeing me in action and believing I would make change within the organization. I felt the same way, so I decided to step up to the task, which I believe I have done an excellent job and fixing and making each unit that I have worked for better and more efficient within their supply/logistics capabilities. Now, I am an accountable supply chain manager ensuring adequate supplies are on hand using precise tracking, cost analysis, proactive ordering, and budget-conscious inventory management. I track $16+ million in property and make sure that all are in working condition and that all components for each end item are accounted for and/or on order. As a resourceful strategist proactively planning ahead for future needs, I keep the supply chain moving along by setting up replenishment strategies using back-up vendors to avoid disruptions. Additionally, I ensure on-time delivery of materials by working behind scenes to avoid rush shipments and keeps adequate inventory on hand without excessive carrying costs. Another aspect of my work involves managing / ordering supply items and repair items, while also collaborating with state property book office in ensuring items are properly turned in and issued to my unit. My approach? I easily relate to all levels of organizations and provide clear communications and regular, timely updates. I have learned that the more professional and patient I am, the more helpful colleagues are in working with me in solving problems. It is common knowledge that at times, there interdepartmental problems, so maintaining this approach goes a long way in solving problems. I enjoy working with people and multiple departments, and with this big picture, perspective, I have become a continuous improvement champion looking for smarter and efficient ways to work. This means keeping costs contained while looking for ways to add value and expedite materials movement. People would describe me as a high-speed, knowledgeable resource, and when I have a mission, I will see to it that it is completed in a timely manner and efficient… and I will do all that is necessary to make sure that it is done according to standards.
