About Jeric Acosta
Ever since I was a child, I've been a Star Wars fan. I had multiple copies of the original trilogy simply due to the amount of times I played them - every single day. I waited for afternoons because E! Network played a show called Coming Attractions where I'd eagerly await the new Star Wars trailer. Through this method, I began to be enamored by cinema outside of Star Wars. After working at Whole Foods Market for several years, I decided to pursue my ultimate dream of being a screenwriter. I am currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in their Screenwriting MFA program with an expected graduation date of May 2025. Film represents a crucial role in society - the ability to influence others, make political statements, and represent the colorful lives we lead in our individual spaces and communities. I am an aspiring screenwriter with the desire to uplift others and speak on the human condition through my storytelling. With my attention to detail, ability to foster close relationships, writing, and determination, I fully believe that I can reach audiences' hearts through movies.
