About Jermaine Boddie

Son of Army service members born in Germany. Raised just outside of Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Ridgefield Washington. Attended and graduated High School in Ridgefield, I then attended Clark College for a year before joining the workforce.At the age of 19 I began working in the construction industry as a Union Laborer. I recieved a promotion to labor foreman at 25 specializing in concrete construction, managing both placement and various concrete forming methods.At 27 decided to put construction on pause and pursued an opportunity to join the armed forces while I was still young enough to do so. I joined the Navy with the hopes of becoming a Navy SEAL, for 4 months I went through this rigorous mental and physical training before I decided that my body wasn't going to allow me to finish what my mind had started. Once I left the SEAL training program, I was assigned to the USS Boxer with an undesignated job. We deployed to the pesian gulf for 8 months before returning to homeport San Diego. My first 2 years of the Navy consisted of SEAL training, Shipboard maintanence and firefighting. Upon returning from my first deployment I received orders to Pensacola, Florida and began training to become for Navy shipboard communications to include network system adminstration and satellite communications.(Information Technician) I served in this role aboard the USS Milius. The first ship in the Navy to have the CANES network installed. I loved this job and for 3.5 years I thrived at it.At the end of my contract in 2016, I elected to get out of the Navy and return to the workforce as a civilian. The experiences, leadership and naval training had done me well. Having maintained good relationships with Skanska during my time in the Navy, I returned to the company as an assistant superintendent, joining the team working primarily on Aviation related projects at PDX. Currently working on a monumental JV at Portland International.When I'm not working, I can be found at the beach.any beach. Working on my classic cars, or other projects around my home. I love to travel, see and learn all that I can about the world and it's many cultures. I still have a curiosity to maintain information technology skills learned while serving in the Navy, but my focus is squarely on becoming a better Superintendent and keeping up with the ever changing technology that helps us place and manage projects all over the country.
