About Jerod Powers

I have a strong history and background working with men while they are incarcerated and upon release to the community. I visit several prisons on a regular basis sharing my personal story of being set free from a life of crime to a new life in Christ. My story of being labeled INCORRIGIBLE at 14 years old and being thrust into the institutional setting until at 22 facing a possible life sentence, I heard the powerful testimony of the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ from a former inmate while waiting to be sentenced. I received the free gift of eternal life and spent 5 and a half years in the Florida Department of Corrections. Those were the best years of my life up until that point, I now share how I was set free from a life of hatred, unforgiveness, violence and rage. I now use this experience, strength and hope to show incarcerated men that there is hope and a better way of life and that Faith is the Foundation For Freedom! I would love the opportunity to share with your Church, men's group or organization on how there can be real life changing transformation. Also, how we can work together to make a difference in the lives of the incarcerated, their families and our community.
