About Jerome Savelli

With over 20 years of experience in impact investing, I specialize in originating private debt deals and building teams and systems in high-growth environments. I have a proven track record of sourcing and closing deals for Private Debt Funds across Africa, Asia, and Europe, with a focus on sectors such as financial inclusion, fintech, and renewable energy. My expertise includes credit and ESG risk assessment, as well as SFDR-related topics like ESG performance and impact measurement. From 2006 to 2023, I played a pivotal role in transforming Symbiotics Group from a small impact finance boutique into one of Europe’s leading Impact Asset Managers, serving as a member of the Executive Committee. I have chaired and actively contributed to various Risk, Valuation, and Credit Committees throughout my career. Currently, as a Senior Advisor at the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO), I play a leading role in its market creation initiatives, including the implementation of EC donor-funded programs and the provision of technical and structuring support for large-scale fundraising efforts. I also oversee the business development workstream which focuses on generating a high-impact investment pipeline for FMO and other impact investors through strategic partnerships and catalytic finance. Known for my expertise in change management, I have successfully applied these skills in digital transformation projects and business process development.
