About Jeromy Porter

I’m currently serving as a Petroleum Engineer for the Department of Interior. My main responsibilities are to review Conceptual Plans and Deepwater Operations Plans (DWOPs) for subsea oil & gas field development in the Gulf of Mexico-Outer Continental Shelf. My previous experience and accomplishments are in upstream oil & gas field operations, in-house data analytics, regulatory compliance, and Health & Environmental Safety. I've provided technical support throughout my career possessing strong analytical problem solving skills, leaderships skills, and excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams. I believe that exposure is imperative for skill-set development that shapes the minds of current students for the future workforce. Therefore in my spare time, I enjoy planning and participating in pre-collegiate volunteer events. I have a passion for mentoring, advising, and enlightening students on the field of engineering and its endless career opportunities with respect to current industry trends and economic demands.
