About Jerry Bubrick

Jerome Bubrick, PhD, is a nationally renowned cognitive and behavioral psychologist who specializes in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He is widely recognized for developing one of the world’s most intensive pediatric programs for OCD, and over the past decade he has been a pioneer in the cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) treatment of children and teens with OCD and related anxiety disorders. A dedicated advocate for children and their families, Dr. Bubrick is a significant public voice educating parents and teachers about the fear at the roots of anxiety—and how it’s effectively treated. As a clinical assistant professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Bubrick founded and served as the clinical director of the NYU Child Study Center’s New Jersey Campus, where he provided direct patient care and trained child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychologists in the CBT treatment of anxiety disorders. He was also a psychologist at the NYU Child Study Center’s Manhattan location, where, in addition to supervising psychiatric residents and training staff in CBT, he provided diagnostic evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents and consulted schools in complex cases. He served as a psychologist and behavioral consultant at the Bio-Behavioral Institute, a psychological and psychiatric clinic that has been at the forefront of evidence-based treatments, and he further distinguished himself in private practice and during the early years of his career when he worked as a school psychologist.
