About Jerry Carlson

Over my 30-year career in the mortgage banking industry, I have been a key player and an innovative sales leader with several profitable mortgage-banking divisions both at major banks and other mortgage lending institutions in the retail and wholesale capacity. The last 5.5 years it has been my pleasure to be a Wholesale Account Executive with Luther Burbank Savings where I met or exceeded all the required goals and budget expectation and created long lasting business relationships. In each of these positions, I have demonstrated strong business development and networking skills, a solid understanding of various debt structures in both the Jumbo and Conventional market, underwriting, and compliance procedures, plus strategic planning, and marketing. During my career I have seen foreclosure rates rise and fall, banks fail, and interest rates fall and rise to new highs, and I have seen mortgage applications come to almost a complete stop. No matter what the environment, borrowers need to find a home they can afford, and the best part of these past few years has been the wonderful relationships and friendships created along the way as I have helped homeownership become possible. Over the years I have built long-lasting client (and friendship) relationships with active members of the local residential real estate market. It has been my joy to help more than 1500 clients successfully fulfill their home ownership dreams. Through my active participation in the Bellevue/Newcastle community, coaching soccer, mentoring Eagle scouts, and participating in local charities like Mamma's Hands and St. Jude's, I have built a strong referral system that helps me maintain my pipeline of business.
