About Jerry Forbis

I am the Agency Development Manager for the eastern NC area. I recruit, train and develop new benefit representatives in order to help grow profitable business within our district and help Colonial Life establish and maintain its leadership position in the local market place and community. In 1955, we pioneered worksite voluntary benefits via payroll deduction and that first payroll deduction customer remains a Colonial Life client to this day. We are a voluntary benefits company that offers our product line through employee benefit plans. This includes the worksite market, communication of benefits, multi-state enrollments, & working with companies by combining a variety of benefits on a pre-tax basis. This allows my business/corporate clients to attract & retain key employees by offering enhanced benefits at "no cost to the company." This includes the implementation of consumer-driven healthcare programs including plan design, benefits communication, 1-on-1 counseling, core benefit enrollments of existing providers & an emphasis on customer service/client retention. For eight years now, Colonial Life has been voted the carrier who works best with brokers in Benefits Selling Magazine's annual Readers’ Choice Awards. In 2013, brokers once again named Colonial Life their top choice for products, service and innovation designed to help protect and grow their businesses.
