About Jerry Goeke

As a people oriented leader of innovative engineering teams I have consistently demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and to be able to apply that learning to lead technical teams. Multiple times in my career I have been put into a new position that requires me to learn a new technology and then lead a team to successfully complete programs pertaining to that technology. These technologies have included a wide range of subjects, from aircraft engine controls, gas turbine combustion, electro-mechanical devices, couplings, to aerial refueling. Each project has provided additional insight that has made the transition to the next technology easier while providing learning in leadership and building and retaining teams. It has also provided multiple opportunities to demonstrate my capabilities to mentor, coach, and develop talent in addition to providing me with a broad aerospace background including creating intellectual property in the form of invention disclosures and patents. Experience includes design engineering, project engineering, engineering research, Integrated Product Team leadership, and engineering management on diverse technologies from large aircraft (C-17) and aircraft engines to small sensors. Skills and accomplishments- Demonstrated success in recruiting diverse engineering teams in hard to recruit locations - Mentored and coached future engineering leaders both technical leaders and management leaders - Received 10 US patents - Leader of a team that developed additive manufacturing for fuel components - Experience leading research teams for programs supported by the AFRL, ARL, NAVAIR, and NASA - Trained and experienced in leading teams in support of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations - Conducted Design Failure Modes and Effects analysis for safety critical assemblies - Instrumental in the development of engineering process controls for safety critical assemblies
