About Jerry Isaman

After two years of teaching mathematics in a Mesa, AZ public school, I obtained my MS degree in (basically) computer science and have worked in the area of medical computing ever since, including Research Assistant at Arizona State Univ, Research Associate in OB/GYN at Univ. of AZ, and Sr. Programmer at the Cancer Center at Univ. of AZ. I then joined Sunquest Information Systems in 1985, and have been with them for over 27 years. The company was been privately owned and public, was bought and sold by Misys Healthcare, and is now private again, having resumed the older Sunquest name. My experience is basically as a programmer in the area of interfaces between the laboratory and other hospital systems. I've filled roles of customer supporter, installer, analyst, developer, and manager, with many changes of title including Sr. Programmer, Sr. Programmer Analyst, Sr. Software Developer, and Sr. Interface Consultant, as well as Manager of HIS Interfacing, Manager of Application Interfacing, and Manager of Application Interface Development. My primary experience is with Mumps/Cache on Unix systems, though I also have coursework and limited experience with VB and SQL.
