Communicating security, an organizational culture approach I am an experience Senior IT Security Executive who truly believes that security is about helping organizations of all sizes sharpen their risk management and reflexes into its culture. In fact, risk management is constantly used in operations as well as in the core business functions. The challenge faced by many organizations resides in the ability to use a common “language” when conveying risk concerns from the operational teams to the upper management. Security plans and strategies must be “sold” and understood by all levels of the organisation and having a common language is a key success factor. This is where I bring value to organizations with a proven ability to accelerate the ramping up in both maturity and efficiency of the IT security practices. My approach is based on a people first then processes and technologies where people are key to the plan’s success. I am a firm believer that IT security is most and foremost an organizational culture challenge. Once I establish a sound risk base approach as the common language between operations, management, and the business functions, I provide short term plans and key objectives that addresses the main security concerns, getting key resources working together towards a common objective within an environment that is prone for success. Success builds confidence and confidence builds credibility at all levels of the organization. I excel at bringing strategies to life with as bias for actionable initiatives with a passion for getting the work done, while improving the organizational IT security knowledge and intelligence. I have demonstrated these abilities for enterprises of all sizes and industries from the health, financial, insurance and real estate where I provided both operational and upper management security strategies. Went through multiple certification paths having gone through programming, Microsoft Certified Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM and finally a master’s in information technology. I am passionate about Tennis and Skying but love dancing Salsa having performed at an amateur level in organized shows.
