About Jerry Klintz

I developed a technical aptitude at a very young age that evolved into an interest in Engineering. While in high school I rebuilt automobile engines for use in dune buggy's. I was also involved in electronic servicing of televisions and radios, and took an interest in amateur radio. While in graduate school I specialized in digital control systems and took a job right out of school with a company that designed and developed control systems for machine tools. Being a small company, I had to first design and develop a servo motor controller and servo amplifier before getting into the software for the servo controller. I learned a great deal about electronics and that fueled my interest in the software/firmware that controlled the machines. Later on I took a job with a medical device manufacturer and applied the expertise I had gained into designing a control system for a blood pump used for bypass surgery. As I learned more about medical devices I was able to expand my sphere of knowledge about Medical Device R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Affairs and Manufacturing.Core Strengths: Medical Devices, Project Management, Program Management, Engineering Management, Product Development, Project Scheduling, Design Verification and Validation, Clinical/Regulatory Processes (E.G. IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, ISO-80601-2-61), Budget and Cost Analysis.I have developed a diverse skill set and broad business perspective, and have also gained experience in people and project management. I have a solid understanding of Engineering and Project Management Principles, as a well as cross-functional engagement necessary to complete a project. This experience and knowledge allows me to ascertain the crucial elements of projects and to effectively follow through.
