Background
About Jerry Labuy
As the Chair of the Mass Communication program at Rock Valley College I work on maintaining and growing a strong department rooted on the application of core tenets of Mass Communication studies. We offer an A.A. degree, with pathway certificates in both Media Production and Multimedia Journalism. As part of my duties I am the Faculty Adviser of the college's student-run news source The Valley Forge. I formed the The Caledonia Night Sky Co. in order to produce my own original and independent works of all genres. We started out in 1998 and have developed some terrific projects over the years. In addition to my production and education positions, I founded the Mosaic Film Foundation and help run and program their annual Mosaic World Film Festival. Make sure to visit the page links for more information on my work. Thanks and take care. Specialties: Producing, Writing, Directing, Film Festival Management, and Film Instruction.
