About Jerry Lin

An information specialist with experience in libraries both public and media or special environments in nearly a twenty (20) year span which includes working in Texas (USA) and Ontario (Canada). During a three year span from 2008 to 2011, I wrote book reviews as an Information Assistant (On-Call) in the Oakville Public Library system. Member of the 2013-14 Mohawk College Audio-Visual Production Team that produced Hamilton Bulldogs AHL Hockey home games where I did graphics, updated the out of town scores on the scoreboard from the press box for most games. For a few select games, did handheld camera work behind the glass in the corners of the rink. As a Media Library Intern at CBC Toronto in 2014, I successfully completed 294.5 hours of work which included creating still photos using Avid editing software and cataloguing metadata on Cumulus for their Libraries + Archives Department, now Content Management and Preservation. Afterwards, worked two full-time temporary contract stints as a Media Librarian in 2016-17 and 2017-2018. Winner of the 2015 Best Documentary (Long Form) for Beyond the Years at Mohawk Media and Entertainment Showcase. Served Elections Ontario as a Poll Clerk Standby in 2018 and as an Information Assistant in Burlington, Ontario in 2022.
