About Jerry Reed

As an experience Technical Program Manager with over 10 years in the IT industry, I have a passion for transforming unstable teams and environments into well-oiled machines. My career journey began with a love for how technology could connect individuals and solve tough problems, but it wasn’t until I discovered Agile methodology that I truly found my calling. Early in my career, I noticed a common theme across many teams—they were struggling to meet deadlines, quality was suffering, and stress was high while morale was low. Coupled with the rising pressure from the Industry on reducing time to market to increase customer value, it was clear that the legacy ways of working would not sustain the future business needs, and prescribed out of the box solutions were not as effective as believed. It was at this time I joined a Transformation team, whose goal was to rethink how we approached work in IT. By implementing Agile practices tailored to team’s unique challenges, I was able to stabilize and improve existing workflows, increase transparency, and boost team morale. Within six months, we were consistently meeting our deadlines, increased velocity by 40%, reduced incidents by 60%, and leaked defects by 25%. While I am a strong advocate for Agile, I believe that the real magic happens when you align people, processes, and technology. My role often involves bridging the gap between technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and executive leadership, ensuring that strategic objectives are met while maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
