About Jerry Rose

I have worked in a design engineer or systems engineer role since ‘87. I have worked directly and indirectly with customers as a design engineer, architect, trouble shooter, and applications engineer creating product and solving technical issues. I have designed IBM mainframe communication equipment, PC’s, embedded systems and companion chips based on ARM, SH4 and MIPS architectures. I have had some exposure to other CPU architectures such as the Motorola My most recent design work has revolved around the Microchip 32-bit embedded processor products. Previous experience was working with I2C and SPI slave devices which have the unique design challenge of being as small as possible. Before that, I was working high-speed designs in the x86 PC, and ARM RISC architectures. I have designed using schematic capture, VHDL, Verilog. I have written C code to program the above processors and have on occasion used other programming languages. Currently I am working as the team lead for the MCU32 Emulation program, a rapid prototyping pre-silicon validation team.
