About Jerry Staley

Throughout my career of over 20 years, I have consistently driven initiatives that align HR strategies with organizational missions. I firmly believe that a company's culture, rooted in its mission, is instrumental in achieving sustainable growth and fostering a motivated workforce. In previous roles, I spearheaded projects that embedded mission into the fabric of daily operations, resulting in increased employee satisfaction and retention rates. Recognition, engagement, and relationships are at the core of my approach to human resources partnerships. By prioritizing employee engagement through open communication and development opportunities, I have cultivated strong, collaborative relationships across teams and departments. Additionally, influencing decisions using a data driven approach is critically important. While much of my career is in healthcare, I have also been in HR Leadership for entertainment, distribution and hospitality organizations. I am currently the Head of the Human Resources Department for Cook County Government (OUP).
