About Jerusha Myrick

I help bridge real-world operations, leadership, and data-driven decision-making for the next generation of business leaders. For more than two decades, I have worked in manufacturing and operations leadership, helping organizations improve processes, increase efficiency, and make better decisions using data. As General Manager of Laser Precision Cutting, I lead daily operations while applying Lean Six Sigma principles to real production environments where quality, speed, and precision matter. At the same time, I bring that real-world experience into the classroom. As an adjunct professor of Management Science at UNC-Asheville, I focused on helping students develop analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills they can actually use. I believe the most effective learning happens when theory meets application, and I am passionate about preparing students to think beyond the textbook and into real operational challenges. My work, both in industry and academia, centers on a simple question:What is the optimal solution, and how do we lead people and systems to achieve it?My areas of expertise include:• Lean Six Sigma and process improvement• Strategic planning and execution• Production and operations management• Value stream mapping and flow optimization• Project management and risk mitigation• Failure analysis and continuous improvement• Team leadership and mentoringI am a graduate of Leadership Asheville and have been recognized with the Academic Excellence Award in Industrial & Engineering Management from UNC-Asheville, as well as the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry.Whether in a manufacturing facility or a classroom, I am committed to developing systems, processes, and people that perform at a higher level.
