About Jerzy Sacha

Head of Catheterization Laboratory at the Regional Medical Center in Opole and Associate Professor at the Opole University of Technology. His scientific interest is a biological signals analysis, especially explorations of heart rate dynamics. He is interested in the prognostic value of heart rate variability in different disease states. His particular interest is different aspects of the relationship between heart rate variability and average heart rate. He also deals with stress induced cardiomyopathies (e.g. takotsubo cardiomyopathy), some cardiac arrhythmias (e.g. torsade de pointes) as well as J-wave syndrome. Professionally, he is an invasive cardiologist at the regional cardiology center and performs percutaneous coronary interventions, transcatheter aortic valve implantations and left atrial appendage occlusion.
