Currently working as a Research Scientist in life science division of Cognizant Technology Solutions. Before that I was part of drug discovery team at Jubilant Biosys ltd (AI and Informatics Department). In this company my responsibilities are to develop novel therapeutic ligand using machine learning model, drug screening, protein structure modelling and validation, Molecular Docking, MD simulation and data analysis to provide support on several drug-designing and structural biology projects. Previously I worked as Post Doctoral Researcher in the field of AI and human disease at JISIASR (JIS Group). Aim of my project was to identify sequence based feature of antibiotic resistance genes of different drug classes using ML models and further statistical analysis to understand the relation with virulence factors at genomic level. I completed my PhD in bioinformatics from Bose Institute, Kolkata in the field of structural biology. My graduate studies were directed toward the understanding of the structure and folding of proteins and their interactions with other macromolecules, large and small, and nanoparticles and database analysis. During my Ph.D, I have identified few novel short-range stabilizing interactions. I am familiar with several programming languages (mainly Perl, Python and R ), many computational techniques which I have used for data analyzation. I was also actively involved in a few collaborative projects. In my collaborative projects, I have to use many molecular modelling techniques and performed molecular docking (e.g virtual screening) and molecular dynamics simulation techniques to study the interactions/dynamics of macromolecules in both apo and complexed form. To understand the extent of polarization, alteration in electronic levels, and/or stability of few interactions, some quantum mechanical analyses were also done.Taken together my scientific work, I have a total of 16 peer-reviewed publications. Prior to phd I did two major projects-one from Saha Institute Of Nuclear Physics and Subhashree Biotech company.
