About Jesper Skaarup

I currently hold a position as Senior Project Director at COWI, Society and utilities. Caring for management initiatives and inspire to teamwork – I believe – is the foundation of modern organizations. As such, proactive management and the right teams is a major differentiator to generate higher value creation. Like a gearwheel – management engages other toothed mechanisms - which can change the speed, torque, or direction of a transmitted part. With more than twenty-three years of professional experience in an international engineering consultancy company - I believe that contributing to higher value creation for customers and motivate to cross-team-collaboration is the most significant task of my position. Some of my responsibilities and focus in this profession include project performance monitoring, project quality assurance, optimization of internal processes, customer centricity, project complicity and compliance, dialogue-based project management, and acting as a catalysator for higher value creation in all processes. Essential skills required to successfully execute these responsibilities include personal leadership, problem-solving attitude, interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills. I have worked across all disciplines within project management, first, as a project manager, since, corporate business coordinator, deputy business development director, and now as senior project director. No matter the task or the job, I have always worked to generate value and to improve team collaboration.
