About Jesper Stromback

Jesper Strömbäck is professor in Journalism and Political Communication at the University of Gothenburg. He is also affiliated with the Centre for Political Communication Research at Mid Sweden University. He has previously been professor in Journalism and Political Communication at Mid Sweden University (2006-2016) as well as visiting professor at the University of Florida (2004, 2007, 2008-2009) and University of Zurich (2011). In 2012-2013 he worked within the Swedish Prime Minister’s Office as Director of the Government’s Commission on the Future of Sweden, and wrote the final report of this Commission. He has published more than 15 books and around 50 journal articles, in addition to numerous book chapters. Among his most recent books are "Opinion Polls and the Media. Reflecting and Shaping Public Opinion"(co-edited with Christina Holtz-Bacha, Palgrave Macmillan, 2012),"Political Public Relations. Principles and Applications"(co-edited with Spiro Kiousis, Routledge, 2011" and "Global Political Marketing"(co-edited with Jennifer Lees-Marshment and Chris Rudd, Routledge 2011).
