About Jess Adam

Jess has seven years of experience as a creative communications professional in various industries and roles. She is currently a senior communications officer leading the communications efforts for three nonprofit societies and assists all seven nonprofit organizations with copyediting and media relations.She is a humanitarian and a humanist and is passionate about human rights, DEI and mental health. She intends to use her personal experiences with adversity due to her disability to bring awareness to numerous key issues impacting much of society. Jess has experience in copywriting and editing, developing and implementing communications plans, content creation and social media management, event planning, pitching to press and monitoring for coverage, gathering and interpreting analytics, basic graphic design with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, proposal writing and fund-raising efforts, and various other corporate communications and digital marketing tasks (both, in-house and agency.)
