Ever since writing my first program I knew computer science was what I was meant to do. What I didn’t know was how much I would fall in love with the area of cybersecurity. Being an early-stage employee at a company that has grown nearly 400% over the last three years I had the ability to lead many teams and projects in various areas including software development, helpdesk support, cybersecurity and overseeing building construction related to IT services. I have since focused on cybersecurity working as a consultant for various companies on ways to improve their cybersecurity and protect them from data breaches. Having worked in healthcare for the last 3 years personally identifiable information is more at risk now than ever and being able to help protect it is an incredibly rewarding feeling. Learning is a never-ending process, and I can’t wait to expand my skills in cybersecurity to help protect more people.
