About Jess Griffin

I am a Latina actor,(AEA, SAG-AFTRA) director and educator that has spent the last decade+ in the business, learning and growing in many different directions. I am originally from Port Chester, NY and hold a dual degree in Theatre Education, having studied at NYU and Manhattanville College. I am currently the Associate Director of Education and Director of the Musical Theatre Conservatory at Barrington Stage Company. I previously spent four seasons at The Cumberland County Playhouse in TN where I was a Resident Actor, Director, Teaching Artist, and their Director of Digital Media/Creative Content. Theatre has always been my passion, but as a driven, well-rounded individual, along the way in the last few years I've added a vast amount of skills to my "bag of tricks," including web design and digital media management. As a Type A, highly organized individual, I've found that every company I've worked for has trusted me with responsibilities and opportunities to move into higher positions of leadership. I am highly capable and adaptable- I can command a room as a Director, and provide support as a member of the chorus and am happy to do both. I am excited by the prospect of professional growth and am so eager to continue to learn, train and grow.
