About Jess Harris

Jess Harris is an accomplished PR professional with over 10 years’ experience working with clients in the philanthropic, clean economy and arts sectors, and beyond. Jess specializes in developing and executing all elements of communications strategies to position TSA clients for success, and in using “PR for GR” to support clients’ policy goals. Before joining TSA, Jess served as Director of Communications at Ivey Foundation where her work focused on supporting Canada’s shift to a net-zero economy. In this role, she also worked on communications to help launch Accelerate and New Economy Canada. Jess also served as Communications Director at The Transition Accelerator, managing communications for the launch of Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub and Canada Grid (now Electrifying Canada). Previously, Jess was a Publicist at Touchwood PR where she handled communications for a wide variety of entertainment industry clients including Toronto Comicon, Cineplex Events, the International Festival of Authors, the SOCAN Awards, the Canadian Screen Awards, NXNE and many TIFF and Hot Docs films. She also led media relations at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. Jess has a degree in English and Professional Writing from York University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College.
