About Jess Leask
Started as office junior when I was 17 then moved through to the accounting team. Completed at the Southern Institute of Technology the Diploma in Business & Management then the Bachelor of Commerce when it became avaliable. Went on to complete the CA programme through Chartered Accountants New Zealand Australia and became fully qualified December 2019. I left the office to do contracting from home so I was able to work part time and provide flexibility around our daughter at the time who is now at school. I also had our son in Dec 2021 who now attends kindy part time. I have kept my hand in accounting whilst on maternity leave as we have our own commercial fishing business. I look after the secretarial side and books for us, as well as complete a couple of other GST’S and tax returns for friends and family. I have recently returned to the office working part time around my family commitments.
