About Jess Obrien

Website: When I was around 5 years old, my mother found me hidden behind a cabinet defacing her walls. Faced with a future battle of clean walls versus artistic freedom, she leaned in. Instead of crushing my spirit, she found an ingenious solution: she bought erasable crayons and markers. By moving forward with empathy, compassion, and understanding, we make the world a more colorful place. Marketing is the same way, when we think about the problems consumers face, we create an environment of solutions rather than noise. To expand on Ogilvy, the consumer isn’t stupid; they are your neighbor, partner, coworker, or friend. Since my days of interpreting Pollock on cream-painted living room walls, I have expanded my skills to brand storytelling through a multitude of mediums. I’m a strategic thinker who crafts compelling narratives and concepts that drive engagement, conversions, and brand awareness. I also still really enjoy coloring on walls.
