About Jesse Barnes

I am a Kansas native with experience living and working in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve long been passionate about civil rights and social justice, with a strong personal interest in both theater production and politics. Cannabis advocacy has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, extending back at least three generations in my family. My interest in the industry deepened when I began to understand the legal landscape in my home state, which led me to explore the new emerging, legal cannabis markets. In 2020, my partner and I made the decision to relocate to Washington State to immerse ourselves in the legal cannabis industry and learn more about its medical and therapeutic benefits. Although we didn’t make the move until late 2021, I began working in the industry in early 2022 and have been committed to it ever since. I bring with me a solid background in retail sales and customer education, along with a genuine enthusiasm for all aspects of cannabis cultivation, distribution, and wellness. I’m eager to continue growing professionally in this space and contribute to a team that values both knowledge and passion for the plant.
