About Jesse Bourassa

I graduated from Keene State in 2010 with a degree in Business Management, and a minor in economics- Worked in wholesale grocery sourcing and replenishment for about four years- After starting out at C&S Wholesale Grocers as an Associate Demand Planner, I moved to United Natural Foods in Chesterfield- I purchased inventory from such vendors as Frito-Lay (Stacy's Pita Chips), Bob's Red Mill and King Arthur Flour. Then, I moved on to purchasing Whole Foods' private label brands for all of the dry grocery categories- In 2015, I decided to move away from the grocery industry, and began as a Demand Planner of Candle and Auto needs for Yankee Candle's customers in Asia and Latin America. I also planned the needs for Amazon.com's Prime division- I used Oracle business reporting systems to pull sales history and statistical reporting, and the demand planning system, Demantra, is also Oracle-based- I have flown to Hong Kong to present to our customers there about the process of demand planning, and have been successful at working with a team within opposite time zones- After being laid off in 2017 from Yankee Candle, I moved to a Buyer position at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH- While there, I bought and planned medical and surgical inventory for all departments within the Lebanon hospital, as well as affiliates in Concord, Manchester, Merrimack and Bedford, NH- I worked directly with end users to determine unique needs in relation to various patient populations, such as the Intensive Care Nursery and the Children’s Hospitals at Dartmouth (CHaD)- I found a new challenge with my current employer, Sonnax Transmissions Co. I was unfamiliar with the products and market for automatic transmission replacement parts when I started in October of 2023, but have come up to speed during the last 15 months- I have done extensive research on the items we sell, customer base and market share, as well as various applications for use- This was also my first time in a hybrid position, planning both for procurement and manufacturing simultaneously- I’m currently looking to expand my horizon even further by transitioning my ideas and strategies to a new company.
