About Jesse Boxenhorn

As a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Communications and Media and a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Change, I’m passionate about using creativity and strategy to build work that resonates and creates meaningful change. Currently, I work for the Growth Marketing team at Hoppy, an early-stage startup. My primary focus is executing TikTok-based micro-influencer growth strategies both in the United States and internationally, with the goal of scaling paid creator partnerships to boost brand virality and drive new-user acquisition. Throughout college, I explored my passions through a wide range of internships—spanning marketing roles in both music and fashion, public relations in the fashion space, and a legal-focused position at a brand acquisition company. These experiences gave me a well-rounded foundation in how storytelling, branding, and strategy intersect across industries. I also spent three years as a member of the Michigan Fashion Media Summit, a student-run organization that connects students to industry leaders in fashion and media. While I started in alumni engagement, I primarily focused on content creation for the social team—an experience that deepened my skills in digital strategy, visual storytelling, and community building. Outside of work, I am currently creating ourtruthcircle, my passion project and personal mission—a streetwear and loungewear brand grounded in honesty, healing, and human connection. Born out of lived experience, ourtruthcircle exists to destigmatize mental health and give back. We donate a percentage of every purchase to Zucker Hillside Hospital in Queens, NY—because fashion can be more than aesthetic; it can be purposeful and transformative. My interests span across marketing, fashion, music, content creation, and campaign curation—especially where culture and conversation intersect.
