About Jesse Cherry

I am currently employed as a Business Development Manager for MRO & Defence within a leading supplier of hydraulic systems. My primary role is to manage and provide through-life support to defence-related development, production and repair projects; primarily serving the hydraulic systems of both light and heavy armoured vehicles, as well as other defence land equipment. Beginning my career as a manufacturing apprentice, I was provided with the unique opportunity to pursue higher education whilst gaining valuable experience in the workplace. This has involved the application of multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical assembly and fitting, computer-aided design and engineering (CAD and CAE), as well as integrated logistics support. Furthermore, my apprenticeship has allowed me build knowledge and expertise in further areas of the business, including supply chain and project management, which have led me to building the skills to efficiently communicate with team members, customers, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment. I have a positive attitude when it comes to working under pressure and I am able to communicate effectively within a team to ensure my work is completed in an efficient and diligent manner.
