About Jesse Crawford

TL;DR: I am a personable, fast-learning, self-motivated individual that thrives on helping to creatively improve other's lives through data-driven and analytical approaches. I recently completed the Data Analytics bootcamp through Nashville Software School and currently work as a Purchasing Coordinator/Data Analyst. First and foremost, I am a 35 year old father and husband. My family is my driving force and motivation in my day-to-day. I have worked various industries over the past 14 years, and I would say I found things about each role that I enjoyed. Ultimately, what I found to be the common passion in the roles I excelled in most was problem solving based on data, specifically to improve efficiency within the company. I believe my naturally analytical mind and creative thought process both give me an edge when assisting others in troubleshooting different issues within the workplace, whether it be physical workflow, personnel problems, or even company culture matters. After realizing my most recent career path was unsustainable for family life, I honed in on this love for data by completing the Google Data Analytics Certification through Coursera. Much to my surprise, many of the skills being taught were things I already actively used in previous roles. How exciting! This pushed me to dive deeper with the Data Analytics certification program through Nashville Software School and pursue a career path in Business Intelligence. As I've spent more time in the data field, I have found the knowledge I gained at Nashville Software School has also been helpful in navigating data engineering challenges for my current employer. Some things that make me stand out from other candidates are: • Ability to rapidly pick up new skills and coding languages • Data analysis • Utilizing emerging technologies to increase efficiency of day-to-day business • Creative problem solving • Extremely personable • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts tailored to the audience I am a firm believer in the phrase,"Just because I don't know how, doesn't mean I can't."
